Sliggy out, Surreal in under Barrage eSports

by Archive

What was first expected to be the BEASTS lineup attending epic17, later turned out to be a super mix team headed up by Neil_M. When talking to Neil about this lineup when we first broke the story, it was clear he had around eight names to fill a five man team. This didn’t stop the mix team from finding support from Barrage eSports. The lineup seemed finalised when Barrage eSports announced the pickup on their Twitter, but with just a few days left before the event Connor “Sliggy” Bloomfield has been replaced by Kia “Surreal” Man.

This means that the final Barrage eSports lineup for epic.SEVENTEEN will be:

Joey “CRUC1AL“Steusel
Josh “mole” Rowley
Phil “Whindanski Nicholas
Somprasert “s0m” Haddow
Kia “Surreal” Man

With Barrage eSports not having its own CSGO lineup at the moment, could this be the groundworks of BEASTS joining Barrage on a perminant basis? Neil “Neil_M” Murphy is playing his cards very close to his chest about who has approached his new UK powerhouse team, but if he is looking to choose a UK org, there aren’t many on the table that could offer what this team needs. Barrage eSports and Team Infused are possibly the two front runners at the moment unless Choke Gaming’s new management decide to move back into UK CSGO. There is also the possibility that Vince Clarke, the previous manager of Choke Gaming, could look to pick up this UK team.
