It’s been just over a month since epic.SEVENTEEN sold out officially, and with that there has been little chance of improving numbers of the CS:GO tournament further than they already are. However we at UKCSGO.com can now reveal that epic.SEVENTEEN will have a bumped up prize pool as a result of increased sponsorship, from Element Gaming.
The prize pool now officially stands at a whopping £3,000 with Top 4 now recieving a share of the cut. This is now the biggest prize pool epic.LAN has ever given out at a single event for a single tournament.
With currently 27 teams signed up, and 22 of them complete on the tournament website, the increased support from the community hasn’t gone unnoticed by the LAN event, and with that instead of the “prize trigger” system that epic.LAN had in place, the prize pool now is officially set at £3,000. Not only that but Element Gaming are now also providing hardware for various fun tournaments throughout the weekend, so if you are at the event, make sure you aim to participate in some of these fun tournaments.
The Prize Pool Distribution as follows:
- 1st Place – £1725 + Free Tickets to epic.EIGHTEEN
- 2nd Place – £875 + 5x £20 off epic.EIGHTEEN
- 3rd Place – £300 + 5x £10 off epic.EIGHTEEN
- 4th Place – £100
With teams such as insomnia56 winners CeX, Barrage eSports, uFrag & Perilous Fury going, it should be an awesome event to watch and keep an eye on. UKCSGO.com will have a team of people at the event covering all parts of the tournament with some of the hype due later this week coming in the form of pre-LAN intervews, the usual preview and other notable content like the Viewers Guide coming out. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have liked our Facebook page and followed us on Twitter for all our live event coverage. epic.SEVENTEEN takes place this weekend (18th – 21st February) at Kettering Conference Centre.
