The original IGI eSports roster came about in December last year and stuck together for a while, replacing 2 players in Feburary of this year. They were a solid team that attended both Insomnia 56 and Insomnia 57 (although they went out in groups both times). IGI eSports also attended a number of the weekly online cups run by JGL and were one of the best teams to show up on a weekly basis.
A few rumours were floating around the scene last week about 3 of the players leaving and on Monday it was announced that the team had indeed dropped three of their players and brought in 2 players who have proved their worth online and in other teams, and 1 player who is considered a newbie to the UK Scene but has played with the top guys for a while.
Two players from the now ex-Barrage lineup: Ben “KRBY” Kirby and Philip “Philo” Chan are joined by Adam “Plasmaz” Wilde who, as mentioned above, has never played in a solid team before and never attended LAN either. The pickup is questionable but has the potential to bring the IGI eSports name to the top of the UK.
UKCSGO contacted Ben “KRBY” Kirby for his thoughts on his new teammates
We decided to make this roster due to the fact that we’re all friends and enjoy playing with each other, I believe that this team could go extremely far with the dedication that we all have. I’ve been wanting to put together a team of friends for a while because that’s where you enjoy the game the most. We’re going to be playing in ESEA Intermediate and going to i58 under the organisation of IGI eSports, which is skuxz and waddy’s old team they were in. After I left Barrage I’ve never been more motivated to play CS constantly and go far in this game. After leaving barrage I wanted to continue playing with Philo as we got on extremely well and he is an amazing player to have in a team. I am extremely excited to see what this roster can do as the potential is so high.

As KRBY mentioned above. this team will be attending the next Insomnia event in August. They will also playing in the ESEA Intermediate league, so watch out for them there.
