dripmen aim to make splash with new lineup

The orgless team are back to five with a more international flavour.

Frazer “frazehh” Sollom has revealed the new dripmen roster in a tweet. Retaining only himself and Arkadiusz “ifan” Dabkowski from the previous roster, he fills out the remaining spots with Lewis “Ziimzey” Coleman and Elias “Rack” Karttunen, formerly of Clique, and AWPer Isaac “Isaac” Patto from The Sus House.

The moves follow a tumultuous off-season for the orgless side. They parted ways with Richard “zulu” Wood mid-season, intending to use ifan as a temporary replacement, before Matas “Extinct” Strumila made a surprise move to fellow UK boys Viperio. After playing out the season they then also lost Josh “JAUSTERE” Philpott to eMasters and Kirk “Tadpole” Stephens to retirement, necessitating a full-blown rebuild.

The first two pieces were found in former Clique team-mates Rack and Ziimzey. The young Swede was statistically Clique’s strongest performer, achieving the team’s highest K/D in both seasons 43 and 44 despite the Danish outfit’s failure to reach Advanced. Ziimzey, meanwhile, consistently put up high numbers while also handling calling duties for the team before they disbanded.

The duo played with dripmen in the Open Qualifier for CCT West Europe Online Series 3, losing to Fourteen Esports in the decisive Bo3 series. dripmen played with Anthony “BehinDx” Luscombe on that occasion, and were also spotted with Rory “cryths” Ursell (substituting Ziimzey) in a doomed IEM Dallas Open Qualifier run.

The orgless side ultimately opted for a different fifth, British AWPer Isaac. The youngster (still only 19) is mainly known for his association with Shuaib “shoobie” Saddique and the latter’s team The Sus House, which makes up 5 of the 6 seasons he has played in ESEA Main (alongside stints with K10 and Havik). He was also part of shoobie’s team If I Speak for ESL Premiership Autumn 2022, where they finished in 9th-10th place, and finished 4th at EPIC.37 with the Scot’s shushgg roster. It is expected that the addition of Isaac will result in frazehh putting down the “big green”, the 25 year-old having AWPed for the team since the removal of Jack “DeXter” Hepple last summer.

One potential challenge for this new dripmen lineup is inexperience. Only their long-standing in-game-leader has significant game time in Advanced, with ifan’s games limited to a handful of stand-in appearances and all three new recruits playing in the division for the first time. With the new season just days away, there is no time to lose for the team.

dripmen are now:

Frazer “frazehh” Sollom
Arkadiusz “ifan” Dabkowski
Elias “Rack” Karttunen
Lewis “Ziimzey” Coleman
Isaac “Isaac” Patto
