Just one day after the epic 22 event, the first post-LAN news broke of one of the participating teams calling it quits and going their separate ways.
After meeting their ninth place seed at the event, The Goose House have decided to end their tenure with the organisation and it appears that they will also be disbanding the roster. Their biggest claim to fame at epic 22 was their surprise group stage victory over London LYNX on the first day. The Goose House’s run game to a perhaps surprising end after losing out to eventual top eight finishers Team Ghost in the second round of the lower bracket.
The team had previous success at Multiplay’s latest insomnia event, i61, where they had managed to best numerous UK teams in their route to a top eight finish. Eventually they fell foul to ProjectX, who were also the team to send them to the lower bracket at the epic LAN event.
The organisation wrote a small tribute piece to the departing team. They have indicated that they are now open for applications from ESEA-M and ESEA-IM teams.
